Cobalt Contractors (Cobalt) is an operational unit of Forsman, Inc., a Native American Indian-owned, 8(a), small disadvantaged business (SDB) that was established in 1993 and certified by the Small Business Administration in 2003. Since 1993, Forsman, Inc. has provided predesign, construction, and post-construction support to commercial, Federal, State, and municipal clients in the Western United States.
In 2004, Forsman, Inc. established Cobalt Contractors expanding its operations to include general contracting and specialized construction services. Cobalt is focused on providing “one-stop” construction services. This is accomplished by establishing strong business relationships with the client, teaming partners, and suppliers. Cobalt developed its construction operation by evaluating the needs of the existing corporate client base, the services that could be provided through in-house capabilities, and the flexibility required to meet other client’s immediate and long-term needs. In particular, Cobalt was established to provide a quality product, on-time, within budget, and in compliance with its contractor’s license.
As a Native American Indian-Owned 8(a) SDB, Cobalt Contractors is excited about the opportunity to support a variety of commercial, Federal, and municipal programs in the southwestern United States. Our company objective is to develop and maintain long-term business relationships with our clients, partners, and suppliers, and establish a working environment that promotes the completion of products within budget and on schedule.
